The Azimio la Umoja coalition has postponed its mega rally that was to be held at the Gusii Stadium on Monday, February 13.
On the report of Kisii County ODM Chairman Kerosi Ondieki, the planned rally has been moved to Friday, February 17 in order to give room for proper preparation.
The County Chairman also said they requested Azimio secretariat to enable County Governor Simba Arati spearhead proper arrangements for his grand entry to Gusii stadium.
The infoemation follows protests from Kisii leaders allied to President William Ruto, who on Sunday asked Azimio to call of their rallies, saying they were not welcome in Kisii.
Ondieki now has termed the remarks made by former Kisii Governor James Ongwae and Joash Maangi as laughable, calling for residents to turn up in large numbers to welcome Azimio brigade inside the historic stadium on Friday.
ODM maintains that they are still intact in the vast Gusii region and will never be derailed by sentiments of individuals jostling for positions under Kenya Kwanza Administration.
