Kolong village in Emgwen constituency, Nandi County is filled with rage as a woman allegedly killed a 13-year-old boy for defiling her daughter.

Identified as Zeddy Cheptoo, 28, is said to have attacked Allan Kipyegon when she caught him in the act with her 3-year-old minor.

Following the police report, Cheptoo later reported the incident to authorities through a mobile phone requesting for protection from the residents baying for her blood.

According to the Nandi Central Sub-County Police Commander the mob wanted to kill Cheptoo but she was saved by the officers from Kamombo who then called for reinforcements from Kapsabet Police Station.

“Officers from Kapsabet then rushed to the scene to support the Kamombo officers and rescued the woman.” the commander said.

In the incident, the police patrol vehicle’s windscreen was smashed by residents and the woman’s house was burnt down.

The woman sustained critical injuries and was taken to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital for treatment alongside her daughter pending legal action.
