The first cluster of Grade 6 learners will today undertake rehearsals for the new Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA). KPSEA will replace the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education under the new Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) timetable.
The Kenya National Examinations Council has released a detailed timetables for KCPE and Grade six exams. The examinations will begin on Monday, November 28.
According to the timetable, grade six learners will on Monday start with Mathematics at 8.30 am followed by English at 10.50am.
On Tuesday they will seat for Integrated Science at 8.30 am and Kiswahili at 1.10 pm.
They will finish with Creative Arts and Social Studies on Wednesday at 8.30 am.
Class eight students are also expected to have their rehearsals today and will begin their exams on Monday with Mathematics at 8.30 am, followed by English language at 11.30am and Composition at 2.30 pm.
On Tuesday they will take Science at 8.30 am, Kiswahili at 11.10 am and Insha at 2.10 pm.
They will finish off with Social Studies and Religious education on Wednesday at 8.30 am.
This will be the second-last KCPE exam, with the last 8-4-4 cohort set to complete primary school next year; as we usher in the Competency-Based Curriculum, CBC.
