This year’s Golden Africa Concours will be held at Ngong Racecourse on Sunday,
whereby already 110 entries have been received. The entry list consists of 40
motorcycles and 70 cars. The Concours d’Elegance is the coolest motorsport event in
Kenya. Both the old-fashioned and classic motorcycles and cars are authorized under
rules approved by the Kenya Motor Sports Federation.

Spectators are excited by the “Golden Oldies” when competitors are showcasing
veteran, vintage and post-vintage cars. The two Ford models entered in 1929 and in
1931 by Anwar Fatehdin will feature in this category together with Adrian Wroe’s Ford
Model A won in the last event in 2019.

The oldest cars inspected last by judges include Paras Shah’s 1928 Austin 7, the Ford
Tudor and Ford Model A pick-up entered by Mike Duder and Joseph Kamau. Sati
Jabbal’s 1925 DKW and Dominique Antoine’s 1925 Triumph are the oldest motorcycles.
Sati’s DKW was the highest bike in 2019 and will be competing for its position with Peter
Giraudo’s 1959 BSA shooting star and 1966 Triumph TR6C came second and third
in the last competition.

The gates of Golden Africa Concours will open at 9 am and the entry fee is Ksh1500 for
adults and Ksh750 for kids below 12 years. The advanced tickets will be bought
online via for Ksh1200 and Ksh 600.
