President Uhuru Kenyatta’s eagerly awaited Sagana event in Nyeri County is finally here.

The president is expected to address several residents and leaders from the Mount Kenya Region.

Heavy traffic was witnessed on Wednesday morning on several routes heading to Sagana state lodge. Due to a high number of people attending the event, heavy security details was put in place.

Police officers had a hard time in controlling the large crowd as they swiftly moved in to ensure order and separate those invited from the non-invited ones.

Motorists were forced to abandon their vehicles and walk all the way for over 5 kilometers to the event.

Some of the people who attended the event were turned away due to lack of invitation cards.

The President is expected anytime in the meeting to give a political direction to his backyard ahead of the 2022 general election.
