The Government has given strong warning saying that no school will be allowed to conduct tuition for learners during the Long holiday.
Early learning and basic Education principal secretary Dr Julius Jwan on Wednesday issued a serious warning to school heads cautioning them against inviting learners back to school during the holiday
Ps Dr Jwan noted that the long holiday was purposely planned to give learners, who have been taken through a harsh programme time to rest.
According to him, the compressed term dates, that were caused by Covid 19 pandemic, had put much pressure on learners.
He also explained that the long break is necessary before embarking on the new calendar year. He went further cautioning parents against releasing their kids to schools or to any person planning to conduct tuition.
According to the PS, next term will be very intensive for learners and it will be better for them to make most of the break before schools reopen.
He warned that a serious action will be taken against anyone who will be found conducting illegal tuition.
Speaking in Rongai sub-county after the supervision of the opening and distribution of KCPE exams materials, He said the next school term will begin on April 27.
He further advised centre managers against taking pictures of KCPE materials as exams were coming to an end today.
