On Sunday, February 20, The Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Odinga and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka met at a hotel in Mombasa County.

The two are believed to have had a conversation of a possible coalition ahead of the August general election.

The meeting comes days after Gideon Moi cited a possible coalition talks between the One Kenya Alliance and Azimio la Umoja movement.

Speaking to the press Kalonzo said, “We met with Odinga this morning. We had earlier planned to hold our rally at the Tononoka grounds but the Azimio team had booked the venue earlier. I wished the Azimio team well in their rally this afternoon as we hold ours in Kisauni.”

The meeting between Odinga and Kalonzo dispelled any bad blood between them.

Similarly, Kalonzo confirmed that there has been talks between him and the President on forming a possible coalition.

Kalonzo Musyoka has been under pressure lately as some of the Ukambani leaders have gone against him for not joining the Azimio la Umoja movement. The latest comes from Narc Party leader Charity Ngilu who told Kalonzo that the people of Ukambani have been out of government for a while and it is time for them to be in the next government led by Raila Odinga.

After the meeting, the two political sides headed to their various rallies in the coastal region.
